Welcome to Open Journal Center ("OJC", "we", "our"), a digital venture by Indra Institute Research & Publication. By accessing our website, purchasing themes, utilizing plugins, or engaging our Open Journal Systems (OJS) managed technical and hosting services, you agree to comply with the terms set forth below.

1. Licensing, Deployment & Anti-Piracy Policy

  • Single-Journal Domain License: All commercial products (premium themes and exclusive plugins) are licensed per single active journal domain for perpetual, lifetime operational use under the terms agreed.
  • Direct Engineer Deployment: To safeguard proprietary code, prevent unauthorized piracy, and guarantee flawless technical compatibility with your OJS environment, all installations of commercial themes and plugins are handled directly on your server by our engineering team. We do not distribute raw downloadable packages for self-installation.
  • Open Source Catalog: Plugins designated as Open Source / Free remain freely accessible and downloadable for self-installation via our GitHub repository under their respective open-source licenses.
  • Strict Prohibition on Redistribution: You may not copy, resell, sublicense, rent, or redistribute our proprietary software or codebases to any third party without express written authorization from OJC.

2. Access Credentials & Service Execution

  • Clients agree to provide temporary administrative access (OJS administrator, hosting control panel, or SSH credentials) necessary for our engineers to execute deployment and configuration.
  • Clients are solely responsible for updating and resetting all administrative passwords immediately upon receiving handoff confirmation from our engineers.
  • OJC maintains strict confidentiality regarding all institutional data, manuscripts, and server credentials accessed during service execution.

3. Payment, Warranty & Refund Terms

  • Payments must be settled through official agreed channels (institutional bank wire, Virtual Account, or credit invoicing) prior to scheduled deployment.
  • Technical Warranty: Every commercial theme or plugin purchase includes a 14 to 30-day technical warranty to verify full operational readiness across workflows, responsive layouts, and notification dispatches.
  • Refund Policy: Due to the bespoke direct-installation nature of our licensed software, refunds are granted strictly if our engineers are definitively unable to resolve genuine technical compatibility failures on your server within the warranty period.

4. Managed Hosting & Availability SLA

  • For managed OJS cloud hosting subscribers, OJC commits to a 99.9% uptime SLA for production journal portals.
  • Routine infrastructure maintenance is scheduled and announced at least 48 hours in advance via administrative notification channels.
  • Databases and submission file directories are backed up daily with rolling retention to independent offsite storage.

5. Limitation of Warranties & Liability

  • Services are delivered according to the highest industry standards. However, OJC is not liable for disruptions stemming from uncoordinated core OJS codebase modifications by outside parties, incompatible legacy plugins, or hardware outages on client-managed external servers.
  • OJC’s maximum cumulative financial liability shall not exceed the total fees paid by the client for the specific product or service within the preceding 12 months.

These Terms of Service are governed by and construed under the laws of the Republic of Indonesia.
